The goals of a social justice education approach include "awareness and understanding of social oppression and its multiple systemic manifestations, acknowledgement of one's role(s) in these systems (as a privileged and/or disadvantages social group member) and a commitment to develop the vision, skills, resources and coalitions needed to foster lasting change (Adams and Zuniga, 2018).
