Andrew Hill High School operates an Attendance Review Committee (ARC) meeting once each month. This meeting is designed to support students and families in maintaining positive school attendance patterns which allow student the maximum opportunity to learn.  

The ARC committee at Andrew Hill is composed of an administrator, school social worker, academic counselor, and parent support specialists. The goal is to help resolve persistent student attendance problems.

Students who are struggling with attendance will be invited to attend ARC meetings.  All meetings will be held in the school library.  Below are the dates and times for 2019-2020:

A monthly morning meeting for parents who cannot attend evening meetings on campus. This meeting allows for conversations with our principal, Mr. Jose Hernandez and provides light refreshments. At each meeting, information on upcoming events and school specific programs are discussed. Various community organizations are invited throughout the year to share about available services.  Translation services are provided for Spanish and Vietnamese speaking parents at every meeting.

Meetings are held on a Friday once a month in the school library from 9-10am.  Meetings for the 2019-2020 school year are held on the following dates:

ELAC MeetingTop of Page

ELAC (English-Learner Advisory Committee) is a committee compromised of parents, staff, and community members specifically designed to advise school officials on the English Learner Program services. ELAC advises the Principal and School Community on programs and services for English Learners.

During the ELAC meetings, discussions of the EL program and EL program goals. Parents will learn common core standards, curriculum, district, state, and federal laws. In addition, each meeting covers topics designed to provide your family with the tools to help your teen be college and career ready. Overall, the ELAC committee is important because ELAC makes direct recommendations to the Single Plan for Student Achievement.  ELAC is also, our monthly evening Parent meeting open to all Andrew P. Hill High School Parents. 

The meetings take place at 6-7 PM in school library.  Meetings for the 2019-2020 are as follows:
